Hello all, long time no talk. Any way, thinking of selling my 03 Sonic Blue L
Still has the new car smell and Only 7600 miles. Very clean, very nice!
Boyd Codington Smoothy II 18x10 with NITTO 555's in front 555DR's in the rear. This truck has more best of show awards than I can fit on the garage wall. Terry knows the truck and can vouch for it.
Just trying to get a feel for what the market is on this rare beauty.

If you find someone that really wants it about 25K. Dealer trade would be a nasty number in the mid teens.

I will not be de-moding this truck:nono: and I was thinking in area of 30K
The list of mods is long and distinguished and all were done with the utmost integrity. I will try to put a list together soon.

Man's pride is often his downfall. No built motor or cool blower or turbo to bring that much. There is a nice sonic blue on NLOC with an 800hp turbo charged built long block in the 20's. I think John bought his fully built stage 3 JLP truck for mid 20's and it had 50K invested. But you never know when that military kid will come home with 4 years pay in his pocket:rolleyes:. It is all about timing and finding that one person that can't live without it. At the end of the day it is a 5 year old F150 that invoiced at 28K new.

As a guy who just sold his Boat - It doesnt matter what its listed for it matters what is SOLD for ..

As much as I think Terry has been on a tear of bad attitude lately I have to agree with him - you will need to advertise long and wide and wait a long time to get that $$

Did I mention that I just sold my 2003 boat for $27k ? Did I mention that ?

Adam had a KB and real power mods(injectors, pumps, MAF etc), built trans, converter etc.. People pay for power first and foremost.
Gary just sold his flawless 04 show grade truck for mid 20's. That seems to be the upper limit. The more time you have the more advertising the more you could possibly get. But mid 20's is VERY fair no knock there Tim.. I have been through this myself many many times. I practically gave away an 03 Zo6 with 6,500 miles fully built back in 04. Everyone knows cars depreciate.

Well, kind of. I already have the new toy and the truth is that I spend all my free time with it instead of the Truck. I am way into astronomy and astrophotography now and I found out that it is just as expensive as the truck. Here is a sample of my work.

This is the perfect example of why I like Terry.....:evil. That is one very sweet truck Tim, but unfortunately, I think T is right here. But who knows. The right buyer may just come along.

It really sucks when you keep a vehicle in perfect condition and go to the trouble you have to make it look good and then have folks tell you it isn't worth what you feel like it is worth. I bet there is someone out there that would be willing to pay your price. The problem is finding that person.

agreed and I meant no disrespect by offering 19K finding that person is the key I have a 64 coupe deville with 27k original and could not get 1/2 of what I think it should be worth but I think most of us know that you rarely get out what you put in em..... my .02

John,
No disrespect taken, on the flip side, if I get hungry enough $19K would sound good right?
$30K may sound a bit high on this site, because you guys are around the L all day long, but for the guy who has been wanting one for a long time and knows they don't make them any more $30K may sound like a heck of a deal. I know I have seen them all over the net for more than that and they aren't near as nice as this one. I took her out for the 1st time in a long while yesterday, and I was like OMG :icon_eek: I had forgotten how bad a$$ the thing was.

All the fees associated with an auction of that caliber would kill you.

Tim has a very clean low milage truck. He will just have to wait for the right buyer at the right time.

Maybe if he took it there and could get it to sell for a ridiculous amount like some of the cars they have, then it would be worth while

I agree with this... put a reserve on it that will get you what you want out of it after all the fees and see what happens..

I'm pretty sure there is no reserve at Barrett Jackson. All cars get sold for the high bid.
