Thats badass but what do all of the letters mean? A6 LT3 etc Does the top come off of the blue one too?
gbgary

3LT is the top-of-the-line interior trim package, A6 is the six-speed automatic (w/paddle shift), Z51 is the upgrade suspension package (larger, drilled rotors, swaybars, shocks etc.)...and yes the top comes off ALL coupes.

Gary, Thanks for taking the pics and meeting me for lunch.
Adam, its a 6 speed automatic (A6) and 3LT is the options package it has. The 3LT comes the with a 6 CD BOSE stereo system (which many claim sounds worse than the stocker), the HUD, memory package and other stoof. Z51 is the suspension package.
The top comes off of all the coupes and there's a place to store it under the window.

i'd love to do the wide-body conversion. the rear is relatively inexpensive, the front end is both fenders, nose, and all the associated parts. it's a lot more. oh, and you need new tires and wheels. looks really good though. several member of corvetteforum.com have done just the rear section.

Funny that you mentioned that about the Cowboys. My best friend brought up that same remark about an hour ago. I'm not a 'boys fan so I will just continue to think of it as Lemans Blue and Titanium Gray.
Thanks for the compliments all.

There were plenty of Blue/Tan ones to pick from. It just wasn't for me. I wish I did like blue/tan. I could have saved a ton on the purchase. They had a heavily discounted '06 on the lot that had it and they were offering 0% financing in addition to a huge discount.

I wasn't talking about the power, the body styling he put on it wasn't done good, you could see where it was installed crooked, lines didn't match up, and the fact that he is a poser, whats the difference between him trying to be a Z06 and an F-150 trying to be a lightning

chevrolet did the body work, all factory equipment and the lines are perfect, Hes not trying to be a Z06(hence the reason he didnt badge it as one), he just likes the styling of the body and went with it, quit being a hater :throw:
P.S Vette Magazine decided to feature it in one of there articles, so something must have been done right:rolleyes:

i've read somewhere lately that the front-ends on those things were horrible. sorry it didn't work out for you. you'll love vette though. now is a real good time to get one. heavily discounted, lots of choices on the lots, and even the '08s are below sticker.

Congratulations Brook! Le Mans Blue would be my first choice as well. Those things look bad-a$$ in any color. The Le Mans Blue is just gorgeaous on the C6 Vettes IMHO. You'll have a blast in that thing I'm sure.
Jeff-ro has been kind enough to allow me to play with his from time to time, and he pretty much has to pry my a$$ away from the thing. Jeff's car trapped 114 mph on 27,000 mile, rock hard run-flats, in so-so air, BONE STOCK! Paper filter and all. Where I come from, 114 mph is hauling the mail pretty damn good. Chevrolet really did their homework on the C6 IMO. The factory sound system is among the best I've ever heard, the seats are comfortable, and supportive, and I dig the dash layout. Furthermore, my 6'4", 255lb a$$ fits in the thing........comfortably. Sweeeeeet cars fo sho! Enjoy.

It requires a bit of effort on my part to get in and out, but , once I'm in however, I'm plenty comfortable, with plenty of head and shoulder room.

I spent a little time on it Thursday giving it the same TLC I always gave the L. It was a little frustrating because I'm a Zaino guy and I found out I my ZFX was bad AFTER I had already stripped down the car with Dawn and clayed it. ZFX is required on the initial application only. I wanted to have the car done by Saturday and Zaino doesn't offer overnight shipping.
I ended up getting some Meguiars, which is supposed to be pretty good, but the polish indicates you shouldn't get any on the rubber. I was pretty careful and wiped it off when it happened, but it was still a pain. Zaino leaves no residue I have ever seen if you accidentally color outside of the lines. It came out looking pretty good, but I'm going to pass on the Megs. Too much hassle.
Thanks for all the great compliments. I know this is a Ford Board, so this is first and last picture I'll post of my bow-tie mobile.

Thanks Steve for the birthday wishes and compliments. I feel lucky and I hope all those people getting married today have the same fortune, or better.
Tropicare was what they used on my hood when I had it painted. It came out looking great. Do you know if it shows if you accidentally get some on the rubber like paste wax does?

From my experience it works very similar to Zanio. I'm had no problems with getting on the trim pieces
