Here are some from Lake Texoma its only 4ft from going over the spillway and flooding out into the Red River. Those are actually older pictures the Resturant Popados is completely under water except the very top eve or the roof.

Sux up here water is everywhere I think we need to take your idea and build a arc.:tu:

Fusion why are you coming to Lake Texoma. If you don't have to I wouldn't I went to the Dam at lunch and they have the road blocks and things ready to shut down all roads. Also all campsites, Boat ramps are shut down.

I found this one

Its the I 35 bridge over Lake Lewisville

Kind of interesting that you sell your boat after 3 years of record low lake levels and now the lakes are too high to get on.

My boss bought a new boat and now can't get on the lakes.

If I had stayed on the slip I would have been fine - BUT The other thing is the raining weekends -

Remember the math - get to the lake 20X a year and it costs $400 to step on the boat. Get to the lake 30 x and its down to $270 but MISS 2 times and only make it to the lake 18 times and the cost is now $450 ....

52 weeks a year - 6 months useable time = 26 weekends
GO out at least once EVERY week except 6 from april thru October and its $400 per trip - plus the cost and pain in the ass of keeping it clean.

Rent a wakeboard boat from Just for Fun for $300 for the afternoon :beer::tu:

I know the math, I had a boat.:tu:

Not to mention props, outdrives, and other damages.
We hit a submerged concrete picnic table at ~30 mph back when the lakes were really high before.

Yeah submerged stuff would suck - last year it was the stumps - this year its other stuff..

My figures were total cost - I was lucky - No significant damage outside the hole I poked in the boat by pulling away with the anchor still down.... I made a deal with a Jet Ski repair place and traded web ads on Lewisvillepartycove.com for most of the repair costs

I will be renting a boat at Lewisville at least once this year if anyone wants to go

My g/f type thing her mom and G-Ma live in Denison, and she used to work at Pompanoes so we are going to see them and hang out up there. She is wanting to head to High Port to look around.

Here are some images.

Nothing real too exciting at my house (15' above Lewisviulle lake current level). but nice pic of Cedar Mills Marina at Texoma. This was taken on Saturday by my cousin and they are expecting the lake to rise an additional 4' or so.

Here's a pic of a damaged dock on Lake Travis that apparently broke loose and moved about 500 yards before it could be resecured...

Here's one of the Willis Bridge north of Whitesboro and south of Madill during the flood of May, 1990. It was pretty wild to check out the Denison dam then.

Here are some stats:

Elevation (feet above sea level):
Top of flood control pool - 640 feet
Top of normal power pool - 617.25 feet
Top of inactive pool - 590 feet
Record Elevation on May 6, 1990 - 644.76 feet

Source: http://www.ou.edu/uobs/lake_texoma.html

I've driven the L across the Willis Bridge many times to visit the parents and there were modest-sized sail-ships passing underneath it with no problems.

Went up to Texoma today. Level hit 740-feet at 10-Am this morning for only the third time (1957, 1990 and 7-7-07). KXII TV has a live feed of the spill way KXII.com. Predicted to crest at 740.26 feet on 7/9
