My truck is throwing two codes and I need some ideas on what the problem is.

The codes are P1000 and P0453

The truck seems to be running fine. I cleared the codes and it came back instantly. Any ideas what the problem could be?

what does the P0453 code mean? What could be causing it? I have my EGR turned off in my tune, but it is still there. Could this be the problem? It has been like this for months tho.

EGR is exhaust gas, EVAP is gas tank fumes.

So it could be my gas cap not sealing properly?

I still can't seem to pin point the culprit of these codes and I need to get an inspection for September. Anyone have any ideas?

By itself 1000 will NOT prevent you from passing inspection
