Staying busy folks, general ramblings to follow... After work on Thursday I went over to get Wes' 2.6 back on and clean the old blower bits out of the IC. I got to see his new addition to the household, cute!

Steve O dropped by to pick up some parts and Jeffner rolled in the C6 for a little brake rotor action. He allowed me a short stroll in the white rocket, thanks a lot. I was worried I forgot the shifting pattern by now:icon_eek:. Then Wes bought me a late dinner and more drinks and we went by his new crib-to-be. I noticed the lawn was out of order due to the heavy rains and being vacant for a while. I didn't make it back to North Dallas until 2:30AM something.. Off to work bright and early Friday, agh!
Saturday rolls around and I get started early looking over and tuning a Lightning for Mike S. Then I got to finishing my winch install on the ATV.

From there I pick up the trailer and go get my mower and head south. I figured Wes could use some help taming the jungle. I got there late about 6:30 and he was just leaving. So I rode the mower a little and was drawn into the 6ft tall grass by the water way. Holy cow man, I should have mounted the winch on the John Deere, lol! I need to get my push bar fabbed up and get some kind of locking diff. I thought I was going to have to pull it out with the ATV a few times. I was amazed at the stuff I mowed over with a simple riding mower... ragweeds 8ft tall, johnson grass 6ft tall and everything in between. It was a hoot, I think I entertained the neighbors for a hour or so. They could hear me but they couldn't see me, just the falling brush as I plowed a path through. I wish I got the Deere with the locking diff. I guess that would be a benefit of a Zturn machine is both wheels powered. The grass left standing is in next to a badass ditch. I didn't feel like doing any free weed whacking in shorts...

After that I went by Mom's house to pull some maintenance on the mower in preparation for tomorrows assault on the land. I sharpened the blades which were piss dull by now. Greased the turrets and stuff like that. Her push mower had some carb issues so I mowed the back yard for her. The lights on the Deere work very well and mowing at 1/2 throttle is pretty quiet.
All in a days work.
