Never seen one of these until today. They don't build webs, but just cruise around kicking insect arse. About 2.5" in diameter leg span.

That thing looks bad @$$. I hate spiders but getting used to it being in attics and trees. Get bit about once a month and it's usually not to bad.

Not so good for humans either:

Green Lynx Spider
http://www.surviveoutdoors.com/imgs/reference/spiders/green-lynx.jpg This spider has a bright translucent green body with rows of small red spots and a red patch between the eyes. It has long thin legs, with rows of black spines. Green Lynx spiders are mostly plant dwellers, and bites occur as the person walks through the foilage. This bite is extremely painful, burning, and itching may cause surrounding (edema) swelling up to 7"-10" in diameter

It was a good opening day of dove season tromping through the dark to setup. We were marching through 6ft high sunflowers full of garden spiders looking for birds and such. Last year I had one riding on my shoulder for a short time, they have very sharp pointy legs.:icon_eek:

They usually won't hurt you but will make you hurt yourself

I can handle snakes, but never cared for spiders. I remember when I was young and the cows would get out. I would be running thru the woods and then out of nowhere I would run thru a giant spider web. I've had bruises from beating myself trying to get the spider off.
