George is working on a new lower intake for my 95 engine. Probably will have him fab up a new upper as well. Since I couldn't find a longer snout for the KB, the new intake will bring the blower 2 inches forward to line up with a double crank pulley.

That's the original cast lower in the background.

Pretty, but how does the air get in?:D
hotrodsbygeorge
09-03-2007, 06:38 PM
The air enters via a patented method of reverse osmosis. :icon_mrgreen:

Pic from today's visit to Rockwall. We came up with a plan for a one-off intake to match the lower.
Should be pretty cool when it's done.

Hey Dennis,
Bet I could fit some bungs for nitrous in the intake. You could just kinda use it as an intercooler. Say like a 300 shot:evil

Yep - works similar to the Gen II system. A line goes to the lower intake and sense boost/vacuum. You can see it in the third picture.

I should have made a jig off of that intake because I've had a couple of people interested in getting one. Dennis said that he wont be putting it in for awhile so maybe if there is enough interest I could build a jig.
( In between all the other stuff I have going on )

Are people able to just stop by and BS? I'm right across the lake in Rowlett and wouldn't mind checking out some of the stuff you build.

Yes stop on by... pretty much anytime. Probably best to call first since I'm the only one here and have to run parts etc. 972-771-6460 We'll swap lies.

Hey Doug, I built a fabricated trans pan for Joe's 55 because no one makes a ( good looking ) stock depth pan for a 4L80E and lord knows that he doesn't need stuff hanging down any farther than it has to. Anyway I want to post a pic. ( if I can ever get my camera back from my daughter ) That isn't breaking any rules here is it ?
