It would be cool to run up and kick one in the ass while they were locked up. I like that video of the hunter kicking the hog in the ass under his feeder.

You're slipping on opening day, Beau!:icon_wink: http://www.wildlifedepartment.com/seasons.htm

I hope to have the .50 dialed in by the 27th. The scope is off now and back to old-school iron sights.

Same thing here.. we are going out Sat morn, but only plan on being out there until around 9a then they will have bedded down. The overnight low is expected to be only 65 or so.. too warm to get decent activity. Also, we cant hunt on Sunday by law, so that doesnt leave much time.. we need a cold front to come through to get some movement. At this point, I may be just waiting for the rut to occur in about a month.

Went to our place last weekend to see if we saw anything and around 10 or later is when the deer were active.

I would not suspect you to have had any bad encounters with him right? :evil

I went again yesterday morning and didnt see a thing..nothing, nada.. my partner did see a 7 point buck, said it was fairly big but the rack just barely made the grade by law to shoot.. he let it go since he is looking for something that is a lot more trophy..

weather forecast for this Saturday,, low of 47, high of 58.. I am thinking we will be seeing a lot more movement in the deer. At least we hope so.

We saw two decent size 4x4 bucks between Mc Alester and Savannah, OK Sunday ~7pm while driving this weekend after Zane visitation.

They're starting to move.

Even with the hot weather I have been seeing some bucks and a lot of doe. Pigs are plentiful this year as well due to all the rain. This winter I am taking some time off to just hunt. We are getting a food plot ready next weekend and buying a new tree stand.

That sounds great but there are a lot more hunters up here on a per square mile basis.. plus the state let the population get really hunted down in numbers and are just now getting the numbers back up.

Good luck and let me know what you get..
