I was just going to post up about a particular show but am going to broaden it a bit..

What favorite shows are you currently recording? I am assuming most of us use some type of DVR type device.

Mine are:
Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia (the most irreverant show on TV IMHO)
Deer and Deer Hunting (new favorite, I like the scientific approach)
Formula 1 Racing
Powerblock TV (if anything to see Courtney and Jessie) but I do like Trucks
Twin Peaks (old TV show from the 80's) but I think I have seen all the shows again
a whole bunch of bowhunting shows around the 600 channel range on DirectTv
Monk
Manswers (new show on Spike)

Heroes

The Office
The Daily Show
The Colbert Report
The Unit
Family Guy
The Simpsons

Some others that I DVR that arent on right now, are:
Rescue Me
The Shield
24

Powerblock is the only thing I record, and I'm usually about a month behind getting to watch them. Just don't have much time for TV.

The wife and I rarely watch TV other than HBO and Showtime but we got tired of hearing about all the primetime shows that we have never seen. This year I decided to start recording a bunch of the new shows instead of jumping in the middle. I'll watch a couple and if they are not great then I will remove the timer. So far I am DVRing Big Shots, Journeyman, Private Practice, Cane and Life. So far my favorite is Life.

We also DVR Grey's Anatomy, Dexter, and Weeds.

New season of South Park is pretty much the only thing, but we just came into the 20th century and got a DVR.

Not to :threadhijack...anyone know what I need to do to save a show I've got on the DVR onto a DVD? DVD recorder the best option or can I download to my computer and burn there?

I'm behind Tom and still living in last century. I do watch TV, but no DVR. Guess I'm still in the 19th century. :hammer:

DVD recorders are real darned cheap now. The first one I bought was a few years back when DVD recorders first came out. It was over 600 bucks, if I am remembering right. I just bought one for my downstairs TV and it was only 125 bucks. The darned thing plays DVD's at an upconversian of up to 1080P. Not bad for a DVD recorder that cost so little money. You can also get all those baby pictures off your Video recorder and onto full length DVD's. It will make all your friends hate you when they have to watch several hours of your little pride and joy drooling all over the place.

On Topic

I record

MMA...any and all
Driving force
and the occasional show that pops up when I can't be there to watch it.

I haven't even heard of any of the shows the rest of you are watching.
