After Careful review of the statistics for the site Im going to be closing the site from Friday Thru Sunday - Starting Next Friday

Its pretty clear from the stats that the site is only popular during the week as a distraction from work. It will be closed on the weekends to preserve bandwidth and electricity, and it will cost less in carbon offsets if we do it this way.

I may not post much on the weekend but I use the site extensively as a research tool. This is especially important when when I'm in the middle of a project and I have a problem or need to look up a torque value or something similar.

No the banner is still there - you just dont see it - your popup blocker cant keep the server from feeding the ad

You have been making posts about shutting the sight down, for I don't know how long. I really didn't give much thought to your reasons. You have mentioned on several occasions that you don't get many hits on this sight. You could say you where shutting the sight down because the easter bunny said so and I wouldn't give a sh!t about your reason. I would just accept that the sight is costing you too much money and you don't want to spend the bucks on it anymore.

As far as the Al Gore part, I never thought you where actually corresponding with Al Gore, and I bet most here didn't. I thought you where making a joke about your financial hardships having something to do with Al Gore and his crusade to save the world, in an effort to save face after mishandling your financial affairs to the point that saving 10 or 20 bucks a month is important to you. Hell, I was about to start another thread selling Terry's junk, only this time you where going to be the beneficiary of the proceeds....:D.
