So I shot some pistols this weekend and decided I NEED SOME. I want to get my girl one too. Shes shot rifles and shotguns before... so what pistol would be good for her. She wants a 9mm and something medium in size (not a little compact, not a big fullsize). Any ideas?? I was thinking maybe a Beretta PX4 Storm.

I also like how the SIGs shoot, so that might also be an option for her, but which one?? Think I shot a P228 9mm this weekend and it was a very nice feeling accurate gun.

I'd get her a Glock 19 it is a medium size 9mm. There is no safety lever to flick no hammer to cock or double action to pull through. Just a clean simple point and pull the trigger. If she wants one smaller than that then the Kahr CW9 does that well. I wouldn't suggest a 380 they have half the stopping power of 9mm which is already marginal. Sig's are nice but are heavy as lead and the tall slide design creates a good bit of muzzle flip where there shouldn't be any.

Glock 19 is my concealed handgun of choice. My wife prefers the Kahr CW9 because it fits her hand more comfortably and it is lighter/smaller for better match with her purse.

Just recently bought the smith and wesson m&p 40c. Coolest gun I have bought yet besides the AR but easy to conceal and can change the grips like the berette. It it not a bulky as the Beretta either. I have put about 300 rounds through it and no problems yet. Some of the policemen are switching from Glock to these.

You should go either tonight or on Thursday after 5. It is cheaper on those evenings. On the weekend it will cost almost $16 to shoot but only $10 on Tue/Thur after 5.
Tuesdays are better because an IDPA club practices there on several Thursdays each month. I may go by tonight, but not sure.
