You have a warranty on an eight year old truck? It is probably third party. Basically any mod that can be blamed for the damage will get you voided. Chips, tuners, pulleys, filter kits, after market blowers. Anything not factory can get you in trouble.

The Magnuson/Moss warranty act
US Code - Title 15, Chapter 50, Sections 2301-2312
Legally, a vehicle manufacturer cannot void the warranty on a vehicle due to an aftermarket part unless they can prove that the aftermarket part caused or contributed to the failure in the vehicle (per the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. 2302(C)) .

They can void your warranty with those mods alone

Where these on your truck when you bought it? Being it's a dodge dealership they might not know what mods where actually on it when you purchased it. You may be able to get away with some simple things such as a tune....ect.ect.

After market warranties are for sucka's it's like Vegas the house always wins:D
seems like most mod's can be swapped out if something catastrophic happens

I was just checking, also does the computer on a 2000 store information letting them ever know there was a tune, pulley change for added boost and so forth. I want to put a pulley on but if she blows up i want to be able to get it replaced with the warranty..Kinda bad i know

Yes, the PCM stores a code P0605 when after market tuning is installed. It depends on the inspector. I did two engines last year for third party warranty companies. One truck had pulley, headers, filter kit and they still bought it. It is a gamble. Most try to void it for lack of oil change receipts.
