Vasectomy?

I would like to hear some opinions on this subject. I'm 24 and wife is 25. I have 3 little girls ages 1, 4, & 5. I for sure don't want anymore kids because I think 3 is enough and the third time was my strike out as far as having a boy. My wife doesn't want anymore kids either so, she's decided to go in and get here tubes tied. From what I've heard, doing it out the blue, is not as safe as getting it right after popping one out(kid). I'm not too exited about her going in and doing this....I'm actually worried. So, since people say a Vasectomy is a very easy procedure, I have begun to think about doing it. Now, I'm not too excited about having a scalpel slicing my ball so let me hear some opinions.

Oh my Gawd!!! I have had friends do it and they swear it was awful the first two days then no big deal!! Know they take a needle and shoot each nut with numbing juice:eek: Now if you are tough enough to handle that I think the rest is just sitting around with an ice pack for a couple days!! good luck:eek2:

I thought about freezing my junk and getting snipped. That way I could man whore and go get my stuff if I ever needed it. Or just let my brother donate since his genes are better than mine anyway. Or maybe even Wes he has good genes as long as they could weed out the alcoholism and ill temper:D.

ok, I have had it done.. about 5 years ago in Dallas.. btw, one of the best guys in the country is there, he has done over 10,000 of them. It is painful for just a few moments when it is done.. it is done in the office.. then you go home and rest for a day or two with frozen sweet peas keeping the jewels company.. after that you are good to go..
I have had a close friend here get it done, he hasnt looked back.

I would do it over again and have said that I should have had it done earlier..

Yeah i know i wish my aunt would have heard about this she has 10 kids no bull different ages different schools they can afford them my uncle owns his own construction company but 10 kids that's a lot of kids. Every time i visit them it looks like there running a daycare but no its just my cousins running around destroying things well i guess its normal for the Hispanic community to have a dozen kids:D

It's a lot less dangerous for you to get the vasectomy than for her to have her tubes tied. Find a Urologist that uses the "Scalpaless" procedure. I had mine done several years ago with absolutley no pain or complications. It's all in the technique and the doc's ability. There is no reason for it to be painfull. As a matter of fact I had mine done while being interviewed on the radio.

Yea I know a good doc up here in Denton. I don't believe he uses the scalpaless but he is good and I think it's more about the doc's competence than anything else. I send lots of patients to him so I trust him. Happy to give you his name and # if you want.

this is true.. when I asked Dr Fetner about it, he told me the same thing.. you have to make a small incision or hole to be able to get to the tubes..

just get it done.. you wont be sad.. plus then, after you get tested to make sure that it took, you can shoot that worm as often as you like, because you only be shooting blanks.. knana

All true. It's just a device that makes a smaller incision. I did not have any stitches by the way. Dana is right. Just get it done and get it done by a doc that you feel comfortable with.

One of the fellows that works for me got snipped a year or two ago. He said the same as moonshine, almost no pain. He also told us that he went right home and cranked one off, just to make sure all his sh!t still worked right. That, by the way...is a direct quote...:rll: from him.

I had a guy three years ago that got snipped and he was back at work after one day off.

The only thing I would be concerned about is that occasionally, they screw up and cut off the end of your peter by mistake.

I had it done last year...simple!
Took less than 30 minutes and your ready for action within a few days:) and your back to work the next day.
Insurance covered most all of it as it is in their view cheaper than paying for a pregnacy.
