Don't have the inside dish, but did see it on NBC News the other night. They even had a couple from Mexico City that were car collectors that had made a trip up here to look at getting one, but only to find out that this was goiing on. Was a pretty interesting short bit that they had on there the other night.

Found out tonight that they have several law suits against them. They have several customers who have put a big down payment on a car and still no car.

i have 2 friends that work there in the body shop for a good while... basicly the owner was taking money that people put down for cars and was pissing it away doing other things than actualy putting it to the cars.
The deal with the vin is that they were just taking off the one on inner fender and replacing it with the stock vin number and there own build number. Ones on the dash werent removed. The media is making it sound alot worse than it realy is. Ive heard the real stories and nothing close to what the media is say witch dosent surprise me
The place has been going under for awhile. Checks for employees bounced at times, etc.

Only problem is they have no VIN and the state has CANCELED all the titles
All sales shall be free and clear of all liens and claims against these assets. The Trustees have Original Title Certificates issued to Unique Motorcars, Inc. as to some of the vehicles; however they have been informed that the State of Texas has cancelled titles. Only a Bill of Sale will be provided upon sale. Buyers will have to apply for the reissuance of a VIN from the State of Texas. Buyer can obtain a certified copy of the Bankruptcy Court’s order at its own expense.

LOL Bidding. I'm broke. Too many irons in the fire. I don't like bidding on line. Hang on, I'll think of a few more reasons not to spend more money I don't have.

Unique Performance is in bankruptcy. The criminal investigation is on-going, but the partially completed vehicles sold at auction had no vehicle identification numbers or titles. So detectives say it's not known if they'll ever be legal to put on the road.
