For those of you that have electric remote garage door openers and Lightnings in your garage!!!!!!!The latest and greatest theft in your garage is to drill a 1/2" strategicaly placed hole in your door and fish a coat hanger through it and hook your disengage pull string T-Handle to open your door.Cut your T-Handle off and just leave the string.Hope this saves you-all some grief!!!!!!!!!Freeking thieves:gatling:

I don't install the release cords anymore. I guess even that could be grabbed by a pro.

Thats why my garage door is wired to the home alarm system. The other trick (to bypass alarms) is to pry the top of the door down & climb in, not breaking the connection with the sensor on the floor. That's why mine has sensors on top & bottom.

this stuff is just scary to me... is this happening all over the Dallas area or are some parts not having these issues? like Flowermound? etc..

If some of these thieving suns of b!tches would spend the same energy thinking about how to do something constructive as they do trying to steal sh!t, they could be rich.

Thanks for the heads up...

Looks like the latch itself could easily be snagged even without the cord

That's what I said.. I guess you could cut it shorter or off all together. Or place a shaped charge behind the door and hang the trip wire there:evil

I think T Diddy works for Marriott? Send me an email I don't have a current one for you.
I got a real dumb friend that has a ton of money sunk into a CJ7 that will never run. It has an LT1, Curry axles with ARB lockers and 4.56's, Some special 4 spd trans with 4.1:1 transfer case. But the dogs just chase squirrels around it.
