Level10 goes down to level 4 in 500 miles

I only thought I was done wrestling this mamoth slush box around the shop last month during the 12K mile rebuild. Well three weeks and about 500 miles later dejavu! Figuring it was something I screwed up I was going to quietly rebuild it and be back on the track. I called Level 10 and ordered another set of "special" single sided clutches. They shipped them out next day of course they still haven't arrived! Anyway, on a follow up call for a tracking # He told me what the engineers or whoever up there thought about the detailed Email and photos I sent about the failure. Ford released a memo addressing the intermediate diode released in 2001 vehicles. It lists the cause as: "More than expected load factors". Gotta love that! :tu: The fix is to go back to the old HD parts, good job Ford engineers:flaming: Here are the pics after 500 miles of easy driving.
I know the company name is Performance Research & Development but this is getting rediculous! First I have to fix problems with Brembo for the L brakes. Now Level 10 the baddest out there supposedly needed me to find this problem... Well off to the next surprise..

Will do Sam, trying to find the update parts now.. I am working with Patrick the owner of Level10. Not too happy that I am the first 01' L with the intermediate diode they came across. He called it an 02 transmission and was unaware it was in there. keep in mind build date 3/12/01 so not a late model. When I called him a month ago he bragged about doing 2-300 Lightning trannies and knowing all the tricks. I found a new one for him, LOL. Any donations for the increasing R&D costs?

Isn't that great I feel better now, not. This isn't the week for large vendor good feeling is it.. I think I will be okay after I put the update parts on mine. Back to the Evil Lab. :rolleyes:
