whats the question ?

I would go to kingston.com and put in your model number and see what they recommend and what they say is the max you can add

then go to amazon to find the memory - if you can go more than 512 do it

I can only upgrade to 512.Question is,is this board all i need, just snap it in and im done:tex I would be happy with 512 as i dont use it much,my kid uses it for school mostly.I plan on gettin a new system in the near future.Heck what is the ram on the latest and greatest Dell now.4 Gig??

Its an EASY upgrade you need to see if you have a open slot - if you do then one chip will do if not then you need to buy 2 to get to 512

The way to see how much it will help is to hit control alt delete look at task manager and look at the performance tab

Look at the PF usage number and compare it to the physical Memory number
Any time the PF usage is higher than the physical memory the PC will be slow

If your PC idles at PF usage of 380 or so then upgrading to 512 will help - If it idles at 600 then 512 wont be that big of an improvement

you can go into the virtual memory settings in windows and tweak them after you install but its not 100% required
