Well today a Toyota Tundra hit my truck nasty. The thing is that i was at work. The Tundra jumped a rail and went down a hill and slammed into the hole driver side of my truck. I was parkt right under the hill. It was a 4 car wreck. They took some people to the hospital. I'm supposed to take my truck to Nichols Ford today or tomorrow. I'm wondering how much time is it going to take to get it fixt. The Tundra truck also broke one of my rims. Dam what a day.

i say talk them into totalling it and start over with a new one, they seem to never be the same after a nice wreck

well lets just say there was about 4 peremedics cars and a hole bunch of cops around. My driver side door cant open my mirror is broke one rim is broke in half i had to put the spare on it to drive it home. and the hole driver side is just swooshed in. looks like crap. i almost got sick when i saw it. One of the guys went to the back were i was working and said some one hit my truck. I was like stop playing around he was like no I'm not playing. So i go out side and 4 cars all into each other and the Tundra right into mine. I did not think it was bad i was in a parking spot. But i guess it doesnt matter were you are things happen. I hope the other people are OK i saw a baby get put in the ambulance.

No i let my brother borow mine I'm buying one more. But anyways the cops would not let me near the truck till every one that was hurt was gone. I hope i get my truck back really.

kinda looks like its going to play out that way. I just cant believe this happen. I love Lightnings so if it comes to that I'm going to be patient and choose the right one.

I would have run out there and sat in it until the cops came then rolled out moaning:D. Lightning parts are getting harder to find and all the parts are dealer only and priced high. So price and availability may help with your case.

I was kinda thinking that way. I wish i would of had a lap top so i could have said quick Terry what should i do act like i have back pain or what.:D but there was a lot of people out there. one question Terry If they happen to fix my truck the bumper needs a paint job you think they will fall for it that it was part of the accident.:evil

They would have to prove that it didn't happen from the accident. Like he said I would point out every little thing. But the further previous statements are probably best. Totaled out rather than to try and fix it. Then just start over with another one.

You just gotta be smart about how you approach the whole situation and it would work.

Im going to call my insurance company and tell them these people cant work on my truck because there to busy at this point. So if one of my tires fall of or something its there ass.

It is what it is unless you want to look for a shop that can start on it soon. You can't expect them to drop everything and fix the Lightning because you need it. Like I said, it is what it is. Insurance companies have all the money in the world to fight you in court. You know that the truck is not safe to drive so if something happens to you or someone else, god forbid, that's YOUR ass.

In another thread, didn't you say you paid over $200 a month in insurance? If so, I would try hard as hell to get a rental...

Since it is another party liable and not yours they must meet your needs. If you cannot open your door the truck is not drivable. Make them pay for a loaner at least mid sized for your family or a truck for your line of work etc.. If someone hits the other side you will be pinned in. The front end could have been scratched in the accident. Did your truck get pushed into another. Or dropped on the ground when the wheel broke? Get a rental on them don't drive a vehicle you can't escape from.

yea its got some pretty good hits on it im trying to contact my insurance provider but dam voice recorder's. I don't care when they get started on it but i just want them to take it in. But if they don't im going to park the truck in the same place see if any one else drives into it.:evil

Well i just got off the phone with Nation wide insurance. They said that they can set me up a appointment with some other blue ribbon ford dealer crap but i have to wait 2 days. Im just thinking have these people seen my truck i don't even have a driver side mirror. And i took a look under the hood and with the inpact the plastic part from the cold air intake came off. I don't know if its broke.

Don't you have his insurance info? You shouldn't even have to call yours. The dealer has a huge lot they can lock it up in the yard until Monday...

Yeah thats what i did. calling my insurance was my last option. And if they keep my truck the guy said i cant get a rental if they dont get started on the truck.:hammer:

Just tell the Tundra guys insurance company that your truck is not safe to drive and they need to tow it to the repair place. Did the Tundra have full coverage or liability? Should you decide to file through your insurance company, they can make the other driver at fault pay the deductible. Since your truck was parked in a parking lot, there is no way you can be considered at fault. Also, you have the right to specify which shop does the repairs (if it is not totaled). Many companies will tell you that you have to take it to their repair shop. YOU DON'T.

Sorry to hear about your truck.. You do NOT have to take it where they tell you. Take it to the shop YOU want to use, give them the ins info, get a rental car and continue about your business. That insurance company is playing you like a gazoo.

Should you decide to file through your insurance company, they can make the other driver at fault pay the deductible. If that truck doesn't have a side mirror, it technically won't pass inspection and it is not safe to drive. Call that guy and tell him you are dropping it off tomorrow and you want your rental car. Don't let the insurance company take advantage of you. (Because they will. Believe me I know).

Tell the Tundra's insurance company that you are going to file a complaint with the Texas State Board of Insurance Commisioners because his company is telling you to drive an unsafe vehicle. Hell, put the broken/cracked rim back on just to prove it. Tell them you had to borrow a friends spare and they needed it back.

I just got back from the collision center and they said that its unsafe to drive so there for my rental car is being dropped of tomorrow morning. I had to bitch at them to get heard, but it got me what i wanted.
