You guys see this on the news? It is amazing the homeowner got great video of the attempt. Can you believe punks are stalking around our neighborhoods cutting phone lines and trying to kick doors in... Simply eye opening dirt bags spent 3 hours trying to pull this off.

HAHA bolt cutters on a drop. Those guys are pathetic. 3 hours and didn't think to break a window. They should be shot just for being stupid.

:0fftopic You had any problems with your RR? What ammo do you use. I shot some Remmington and the thing jammed so freaking bad I didn"t think I was gonna ever get it out. I bumped down to the cheap crap Monarch and not had a problem but I clean the gun after every use.

Where can I get one of those security bars for the door? They were kicking the crap out of that door and they never got in...

What a bunch of retards, why spend that much time. Most robbers would not spend that much time to get in. But it's funny how they kicked the hell out of that door and it did not get them in the house.

Its just a little unnerving that we are hearing about one of these home invasions every week or so, and they typically don't end well for the homeowner. It appears that most of them are random and take place in what most people would consider low crime areas.

A lot of people get pissed off at the nosey neighbor, but that nosey neighbor might be the one to call the cops or gives you the warning that saves your life when they see something strange going on.

Reading the news article, this home had been broken into about a month ago. That is why the owner installed the surveillance camera and door bar. The invaders stole $1200 the first time and probably the same ones coming back for an easy second picking.

Sad thing about criminals they don't quit until it is too late. When I was a kid back in the 80's someone tried to steal dad's IROC Z. I remember the cops exact words. He said "these guys have brass balls, they will keep coming back until they get it". So dad removed the screen from the 2nd floor window and left his deer rifle next to it. Mercy and second chances are an unacceptable risk in this day and age. Society and our legal system need to get tougher in a hurry before we are overrun with crime and mayhem.

These things really pizz me off. I hate to see some innocent woman terrorized like that, I bet she can't sleep comfortably in her own bed anymore. Someone needs to remove those taint pimples from the face of the earth.:gatling:

Phone wires? Is it just me or did it look like he was cutting the cables to the satellite?

Looked like satellite cables to me, too.

That's good video. I wonder who installed her system.
Those punks need to be caught and hung in the town square. :flaming:

A few public hangings and this crap would stop.

that video amazed me

What amazed me was the news coverage that showed a number of recent examples of similar problems in that area - houses and businesses where people spent 2,3, or 4 hours banging on the doors and locks to break in and the cops NEVER showed. Interviews with business owners that say the criminals KNOW that the alarms dont matter cause the cops DONT come

If you were banging on a door in my neighborhood for 10 minutes I would come visit you. But then again I dont live there

Tom Leppert recended that mo response deal that Dallas PD had going. The fact is there is no significant punishment. If the cop cares to chase them, they stand a good chance of getting away. Even if they do get caught they are out in hours, get to hang with homies and brush up on their trade secrets etc. There is no fear of life and limb from justice. The only person a criminal fears is a bad dog or bad homeowner. They hope most victims are not prepared for a confrontation at 3-4am and will cow down in fear. Look at the justice system in any country that has been around for a few thousand years they have figured out how to deter crime. We are a fledgling county and full of folks that have not learned our lessons yet...

Yeah...that video would have been much different. I still believe that dogs are one of the best deterrents to home invasions......I don't know many folks that are fond of dogs they don't know.
