Lever Action Rifle

Looking for a lever action rifle with the large size lever(rifle man).Anyone reccommend one.I am not interested in the 30/30.Something with a good bang to it.Maybe 45/70.I wont use a scope,just fixed sights,too much cover where i go.Of course its for hunting.

You gunnin' for whitetail there, McCain? :) If so, the .45-70 is over-kill for even boar, too. OK isn't CO and MT, but with with tighter-distances and need for short-range knock-down, anything .308 should be good.

Besides, the recoil is a b!tch! My former .300 Win. Mag. tore my shoulder up. :crying:

Whatever levergun you get, you can get a large loop handle from www.brownells.com (http://www.brownells.com) and install it yourself. It's very easy.

Drank em all:icon_mrgreen:It was Oklahoma beer which doesnt count.I was popping beers and turkeys where all around me.Some walked 15 feet away from me.The 10 Ga. wasnt loaded/breech open for the pic.One of my more memorable hunts.:bows

I wanted to punch the camera man b/c I could barely see the pig getting stuck. Just bought a red green dot for the AR and wanna shoot some pigs and see how it does. O ya was that girl drunk when she threw the ammo in??? I prob would have had to tie her up in a truck and leave her.
