lowering the L??

I'm planning on lowering the L soon and wanted to know bout which way to go? A 1 in or 1.25 in the front and a 2 or 3 in the rear? Any suggest would be helpful! Thanks Nick:tu:

LFP offers the springs only for 500 bucks or the sway bars also for 990 ish

consider spindles up front w/stock springs and shocks = stock ride and factory alignment (tires will wear better). in back consider shackles, dearched springs (see terry), and shock extentions...this equals stock ride.

I have put 4 different suspensions in my truck and cut stock front springs with rear shackles and/or de-arched rears is not a bad set up and much cheaper.

I am still not convinced that the early front Roush springs weren't just cut ard repainted stock ones.:tex

I went the cheap route. Hotchkis leaf and 1-2" drop shackles rear (400.00) w/ belltech 4804 coil springs front (150.00). The alignment kit is roughly 50.00.

I went the Hotchkis coil route, JLP 2/3/4 shackles on the 4" setting with stock leafs to not sacrifice load-capacity if I ever towed/hauled anything. Hotchkis sways fore/aft, too.

Rides/handles like a completely different truck from original. Alot rougher riding than stock and any body roll is firmed up big-time. Looking to upgrade to QA1 shocks sometime in the future, but the stock Bilsteins work fine for now.

i have eibach 1.5" front drag coil springs, and a leaf taken out with beltechs shackles and it sit pretty low, have had lots of complements on it....

Just one leaf on each side? This might be a stupid question but do you take out the leaf on bottom or the the one on top?
