I know a little blackberry

Let me guess

Either you want to be able to press 1 to get your voicemail or you cant get voicemail at all

First problem is solved by setting your voicemail number as the speed dia lnumber for W - in the speeddail list you only see letters and w and 1 share the same button

the second problem you have to call 611 to figure out what your VM phone number is

I am good on those.. When I get a voicemail, because I was gone when the phone rang or didnt hear it because it was in my coat.. I want a reminder beep or sound to let me know that I have a voicemail in the box.. I just cant find it on my preferences.. it is bugging me that I cant find it..

Oh, I did finally figure out how to remove an email address though.. you lead me in the right direction on that one. Thanks again

I dont think you get a reminder - the phone rings - goes to VM then after the messsage is left you get a beep that you have a voicemail - then there is an icon on the phone .... Thats it

You can get all kinds of good info at blackberryforums.com

+1, I have the blackberry curve, so I did a little digging this morning on the phone and I don't see anything for a reminder either.

Well, I figured out after going to Blackberryforums on what it WILL do.. the carrier will normally send a "no charge" text message to your BB to let you know that there is a voicemail out there.. it uses the SMS notification protocol. So whatever you set up in SMS, will drive your voicemail notification.. It wont do what my cellphone used to do and that is just beep at you at a specific interval until you answer the voicemail.. that is what I wanted to do.. but I did have it do what it can do at this time..

Thanks guys

Verizon.. family plan.. I have the BB, my wifes phone and the phone in the Caddy on it too.. OnStar will let you convert and use Verizon.. that makes it a very nice setup for us..plus we get darned good coverage around here compared to some other carriers.. by having it in the car, you dont have the phone to your ear nor do you have to use Bluetooth in the car..
