Alright as we all know the rumor mill is fraught with gen 3 this gen 3 that.

The same source who told me last year that 09 was either going to bring an off road concept (see f-150 raptor) or a gen 3 is now telling me that 2010 is the year we should see the gen 3 and it is being planned for production at this time.

I will keep my fingers crossed:D

I think it would be sweet to see it come out in 2010. But I don't believe any rumors any more. I will believe it when I see it hit the show room floor.

If fuel keeps rising and the economy sinking they won't sell many.

If fuel keeps rising and the economy sinking they won't sell many.I think gen 2 is as far as the lightning(as we know it) will ever go with fuel costs.Id like to see a ranger size p-up with a turbo, kinda like a cyclone.Fuel prices are gona change everything. If they do have a gen 3 i see turbo. It will be like a kids spring driven toy car, youll have to wind it,spool it up first.

read an article where they are wanting to set the price of gas on the Euro instead of the American dollar, if this happens our currency will be worth as much as a peso

I'm still worried about how much I'm going to be taxed if Barack Bin Laden gets in office, price of gas might be the least of my worries

I agree. If this country is so stupid as to elect a tax-and-spend liberal, socialist... we may be getting rid of all our toys.

But I can't afford $9/gal gas.

Maybe I'll be getting that crotch-rocket my wife has laid down the law on. LOL

I'm thinking about taking all of my money in stocks, investments, 401k, IRAs etc and buying a bunch of gold, the price of it keeps going up, my dad and I bought an ounce and it was roughly $1,000

That's what scares the hell out of me. I hope McCain gets it since he has the endorsement of George, Jr. and is the somewhat "lesser of two evils".:icon_confused:

I hear ya, but I try to go with mutual funds and mutual fund commodities to give me some buffering.. after trading some stocks and such, my threshhold for risk has gone down.. then, after turning fiddy years old, my window for risk is narrowing.

so no direct investments anymore..

hookers and blow you cant take it with you....

oh yeah and I agree with Dana investing is like dancing with a fat chick if she goes down chances are your goin with her...

moral of the story limit the number of big girls you dance with but remember they appreciate it more and the payoff can be exciting....
