The pic is from a Forest service watch tower high in Montana. Due to the risk of lightning strike the structure is heavily grounded and the living area is insulated as shown.
You can rent and stay in them on camping trips.

Well I was close:
When lightning hits the trailer you will be safe.

Other known advantages:

So you don't scratch the vinyl flooring
