I am on the road in FL. Checking out Talon on a Blackberry is tedious at best. Dana

What browser are you using on your blackberry? The default one that comes on it, or do you have another browser installed? The Opera Software seems to work really good with this site, on the BB Curve. :tu:

Doug, thanks much better

Zeus, whatever comes with it. Its a 8830, fairly new. I don't know anything about Opera.

Dana
depends

It should have detected the pda browser and swapped you automatically

I updated that code after posting this

worst case you can pick the style in the lower left corner

Most BB's come with 2 browsers or 3 - then you can add the opera browser
Keep in mind that if your BB is connected to a company BES server everything you surf goes through that server

They also can track and record every phone call and sms message

Thanks Doug.
That is good to know since I bought the BB myself and agreed to be hooked up to their BES as part of my consulting deal. I also pay for the service as well.

The BB is barely readable now, I think I have really messed up the settings in it.. what are the default settings on these things so that I can get it back to normal?

I have an 8830 and this is how to get back to factory defaults:

Options / Security Settings / General Settings / Menu / Wipe Handheld

Make sure you do a backup first to save all your contacts and other pieces of data. Secondly, after restoring it to factory defaults, you will not be able to send email or use the browser until you have activated it again by either connecting to the Desktop Manager or performing Enterprise Activation.

the last part has me a bit concerned.. is there any other way?

Dont wipe it unless you have to - it will require a new enterprise activation if you are getting work emails

What exactly did you mess up and want to fix ?

well, I changed some of the settings and now it works like crap.. if I can go back to the original settings I think I will be fine.. the screen is all skewed to one side, etc ...

I didnt change much but probably added in too much or clicked on too many additional items.
