I passed a car with a flat tire on the side of 635 yesterday. The gas door was open, the cap was under the car and there was a 2ft stain under the gas neck. Why would you siphon gas out of a car that only holds 12 gallons in he first place? I thought about a locking cap but they are too easy to remove. Soon my F250 will hold 200 bucks worth of fuel... I think that would make it grand theft.
A guy at work bought a new Tahoe from Stonebriar Chevy. He said they didn't fill it up. He asked what the hell, I buy a truck and it is empty? The salesman told him they do not fill vehicles up any longer.:icon_eek:
If I fill up my Lightning before it sells that is 100 bucks free!:tex

That sucks for the poor bastages who come back with a tire to find they have no fuel left now. Of course, I'd never leave my ride on the side of the road for any amount of time anyway.

As the poor get poorer the crimes will get bolder. We are entering times where you have to be ready to do what it takes to keep you and yours safe. So much for a chicken in every pot...:tex

You know...I hadn't considered gas thieves yet. It makes sense. What's going to be next? Car Jacking so they can get the gas out of the car?

I am curious to what price gas stations are actually paying for a gallon compared to what we are paying @ the pump.It only takes one gas gouger to make every other station jack theres up.I think we are getting it from both sides.Be a good time to own a covienance store that sells beer and gas.Grain doubled in price,be ready to pay 2 times as much for BEER.Not looking good for americans @ all.:tex

Probably be less car jacking since most people can't afford to keep gas in there vehicle. They will only be able to drive it a couple miles before having to fill it up.:tu:

As are bullets, powder, and brass. As noted, bad time to be an American. :(

It is not a bad time to be American, the prices just got here later than in Europe and Asia.
They have had very expensive gas/diesel for decades, and they don't get to have guns, bullets, powder, etc.;)
I have been to many of the continents on the planet, NA is still the best, but the south of France might be an option when I get to my mid-life crisis and desire to wear a Speedo around topless women...
again? :icon_mrgreen:

I noticed that when the Winchester plinkers I used to get for 9.99 jumped to 14.50.....gun show next weekend time for some more reloading equipment.
I just heard on the radio that some are punching holes in gas tanks to steal the gas. Seems that newer cars have a plate with holes fited in the neck of the fill tube that stops a syphon hose, so the bstads just stick a hole in the tank. Time to get that trunk monkey adapted to go in the truck bed.:gatling:

Yeah newer tanks have roll over valves in the neck, slosh socks and screens etc. That is just ruthless. Mad Max will come to fruition.

Punching a hole in a $400 fuel tank to steel $75 bucks work of fuel is about the same as breaking a $300 window to steel a $100 radio. :flaming:
So when I come upon someone laying under my truck with a hose, I guess I can just skip the "get on the ground" part and get straight to business. :gatling:

This was also on channel 8 news, I believe it was a Tahoe. Thief left the hose hanging down and the owner noticed it and knew something wasn't right and found it.
