yes, and I think you can pick up a couple miles per gallon for a few ounces per gallon..

I havent run the math on it but if you can get 2 mpg per couple of ounces per gallon.. me thinks it would be a good deal..

I question whether it would add 2mpg for a "few" ounces, but even if it did, I bet it would be a wash. What does toluene cost per gallon? How many ounces per gallon do you have to add for the desired gain? How and why does it increase your mileage?

It would prolly take a chemistry and physics degree to understand that stuff. I do know I lose mileage on store and wholesale gasoline. So there is something to the quality of the burn. Not sure where a local source of Tolulene is..

We get it in 5 gallon drums at work. We use it as a cleaning/degreaser agent. It is really potent stuff. I can't remember the name of the place that we buy it from. It is off of Berry street in Fort Worth. Not sure if there are any restrictions on buying. I believe that it is an ingredient for making TNT. Tri-Nitro-Toluene

Adding more tolune just increases octane, that's all, octane does not increase MPG and can actually decrease it.

I prefer not to watch the video. If anything in it states that increasing the octane is a cost effective way of increasing mileage it's BULL SH!T. Think of it this way, if higher octane alone leads to cost effective higher mileage, why doesn't everyone with a regular unleaded vehicle just switch to premium and save some money? Increasing the octane rating without changing the tuning of a vehicle is throwing away money.

Here is another way to look at the situation. Why is there a difference in mileage between summer and winter fuel formulations? They both have the same Octane Rating. If it's about octane ratings, it shouldn't matter what the formulation is.

While your googling up new found knowledge, Google up "Energy Content of Fuel". Also give "Fuel Formulations" a shot. Then Google up "What is Octane Rating".

Like I said above...it is only a "hotly" debated topic for pumpkin heads.

You have anything that will turn tap water into gas? LOL...seriously though...I think the only real solution is to buy a 100 HP car and drive real slow everywhere you go. I have heard that the Japs have cars in their country that get 50 MPG. They aren't fancy, fast or very big. But they get you where you want to go.
