Yep seems that way the last couple years. Cubans alright though, his pockets are still growing fatter in the process...as the fans hang their head in disappointment. :hammer:

The little general just can't get the job done... Sad to see since he works so hard. They definitely had the talent through the years.
The Rangers need to be disbanded all together or moved to Puerto Rico:stupidc

agree....agree...and AGREE. I can't even watch the Rangers on tv anymore. It's horrid just watching what is supposed to be the game of baseball. Time to find a new team all together.......:tex

we had corporate boxes for sales and relations. They dumped the Rangers 6-7 years ago and went to Mavs and now with the Stars... They couldn't give away the Rangers boxes. :hammer:

New Orleans Jazz,....no, I mean Charlotte Hornets,...wait,..the New Orleans Hornets is straight up kicking their a$$....plain & simple...Mavs are too soft...Bass is the only one putting an elbow on a mofo!!! David West is killing the Mavs in the paint, plus he took Dirk's manhood. (In fairness to Dirk, he's German and maybe didn't know if someone smack, tap or touch your face its an AUT-o-matic a$$ whupping!, he didn't know)

Well the Mavs are out and gone on vacation. That Jason Kidd trade didn't work plus it set the Mavs back a couple years. I bet the billionaire is po'd bigtime.

One of the things the Mavs struggled with was critical play calling with few seconds on the clock and needing a good play called to run on an in bounds situation, Don Nelson was awesome at this, Avery sucked at it and it cost us the last 3 years in the playoffs

In the Fort Worth Paper today. It had a line about josh howard. Apparently a Fan at the game hollered at him just before he took the floor to start the 3rd.. Said "After tonight you can smoke all the weed you want".

It was in no way Avery's fought by himself, Red Auerbach,Phil Jackson or Pat Riley couldn't do any better because that team is soft! soft! soft!!They traded their toughness in Diop & DJ Benga.
Avery tried to make Dirk tougher down low but Dirk is just 7ft & soft, can't make a person mean if its not his nature,Dirk like to stay on perimeter and shoot 3's plus he's not a vocal leader, the bench is pretty old, and they got rid of the 2 big body bangers in the paint I named, Kidd is still OK but not what they thought he was gonna be like his 1st time here, those days have passed by and you can see it in how CP3 schooled him just like Kidd used to school older players. That team performs better when they run, not half court post up, they just don't have those type players. I believe they will have to upgrade players & the bench a whole lot before they have any chance of doing better than what Avery did with what he had. Stack is getting up there in age, George is no real threat, Damp gets in foul trouble and not a scoring threat consistently, Bass is the guy that's young, play tough in the paint and got some scoring ability. They need a young fast point, someone like Carl Malone or Charles Barkley at power, move Dirk to small, Howard as swing and a center that commands respect down low, Bass #1 off bench at foward, and insert Stack and others as game demands....

Thats a nice plan Derrick but they had a fast young point and traded him along with our draft picks. Dirk could move to small but then he wouldn't be able to stay in front of his man. I don't know where we would be able to get a good post up Power Forward without trading Dirk (which might be a good idea)The Mavs haven't been able to find a Center since Roy Tarpley was suspended. I think they need to blow this thing up. Trade Howard, Terry, Dirk, Kidd (if you can) We need to focus on speed and athleticism. It would have been nice if Johnson could have had the team he wanted. Just think, Memphis would have traded Gasol for Howard this year. Now you probably couldn't even get Mike Miller for Howard.

yeah Adam I know, its fantasy thinking. They traded Harris based on what J. Kidd did in the past. His time as a top notch point guard has passed.Look at all the top points in the west, young, athletlic and fast. I don't think the Mavs have a true game. The Lakers,Jazz, Suns are inside & outside teams although the Suns messed their team up with the Shaq trade and took away their running game somewhat. They, like the Mavs were better when they ran instead of posting up. The Rockets and Spurs are like "we'll take it" teams, meaning they take whatever the defense gives them. Warriors are straight run & gun...they have no height for an inside game, the Nuggets are run and gun also and have NO defense at all. If the Mavs had a center like Dwight Howard they cold run & play the low post as well as respected with his defense and shot blocking into the 5th row. As far as Dirk defense, depending on the team, use a zone or a box and 1. Dirk got the height just not the bulk and mean streak to play power. Look at how Carlos Boozer with Utah play in the paint and their small (AK47) just run around and get open. That was my vision of Dirk also since he can stroke 3's but still get a few offensive boards, use his height and go back up with it and let the power and center bang in the paint. And yeah I hear ya about young & athletic, look @ the Hawks...the youngest team in the playoffs if not the NBA and they forced a game 7 with the Celts and the Boston 3 party and all their experience. The NBA is rotating tho, the veteran teams are running their course and the younger teams are up & coming and taking their place. This will probably be Spurs last year like that, they getting OLD even for OLD!!! Detroit & Boston might have 2 years left, so Orlando,Cavs, Wizards,Utah,Hawks & Rockets should be ready for next year.I'm going with the Lakers this year, I just believe their all around game is better than anyone.

Did you see the Sun May 4th Star-Telegram article where some sportswriter named Jeff Caplan graded the individual players for the year? Some I agree with, some I don't, but I never been an NBA player, except in my mine. Then again, neither has he.
