I'm thinking about converting my 04 5.4 supercrew to run on CNG. It's costing me over $100 a week now in gasoline and I'm tired of it. Does anyone here own a CNG vehicle? Pros, cons?

Thanks,
Gary

I have one "con". Where do you fill up?

The main place you'd fill up would be at home. If you have gas at home, that is. A machine hooks to your home gas line and converts the gas to liquid and compresses it. It's less than $2 per gallon.

I don't think it would save money. You lose about 2mpg with LNG.

I spend 700 bucks a month in fuel btwn the L. and a GTO daily driver.Freeking disgusting.Im just lucky i can work O.T..Correction8-9 hundred including boat.Seriously thinkin of gettin rid of one of em..Too many people got there hands in the price of a gallon of gas,and we are paying the price.I would love to see a guru come up with another source of cheep fuel.Hell the natural gas companys are just as bad.I see the fuel of the future being a self producing electro magnetical source of power.

lots of cons of you are trying to save $$$... where to start??? upfront cost plus the cost of you home filling station...Very short range per fillups...Mpg is not good as well.... we tested for our limos and it was NOT a good deal...UNLESS you want to be able to say your are green.....
