Whats the easiest way to remove a gen 2 tailgate?

open
unclip and slide up the side that has the notch

its really easy

Undo the straps and one side is notched. You wiggle it up and down until one end is loose. Then slide it away from the truck. You have to find the angle of dangle that works. It is between 30 and 45 degrees.
