It seems like only yesterday I had my ole Lightning.

Man it's been a while since I've stopped in here. Alot has changed since my last visit. I joined the National Guard this time two years ago and have pretty much been gone ever since! I sold my Lightning while I was away at Basic training (or my wife did). I just fininshed with my first deployment to Iraq, Boy that was fun!!!:icon_rolleyes: I got a new to to play with now though. Currently I'm modding my 03 cobra to the extent I had only wished for with my Lightning. Whipple, full exhaust basically the works. I will be sure to post some pics of it up after it gets back from the painters the end of the month.

So, how many people are still around or has everyone sold thier trucks?

I remember you, and still got my truck. was it good or bad your wife sold the truck? At least you got a Cobra tho. I was in the Army @ Ft Hood in 1st Cav and we had fun in Desert Storm...yeah right, believe that and I got beach front property in Iowa to sell you. It did have memorable moments tho. Glad you made it back safely and in one piece.

Aren't you guys pissed the National Guard is being deployed to Iraq? Your purpose is to serve the governor and president for your home states and the USA. I don't think the Guard should be deployed out of country.

I remember when you were posting about leaving.. the hard core are still here though. Thanks again for serving. There are many that may not say it to you but we are all glad that you did serve. :tu:

Agreed....they have somehow confused the Army reserve with Ntl Guard......pretty scary, I can't imagine going to war with some of the yahoos I was in Guard with.

It wasnt too bad over there besided that place being the arm pit if the devil himself. We got stuck with a BS mission though. We were an infantry company and they stuck us doing Convoy security. I got to see most of Iraq though. I tell you one thing, those IED's are no joke!!!!
