Movie Reviews

A while back, someone(s) posted up about a movie they saw..would there be any interest in having a movie review section and let us post up our rating for a particular film.. I usually do not go to the movies, but buy DVD's and watch them in the ghetto home theatre.
Furthermore, I do tend to go to www.imdb.com (http://www.imdb.com) to see what the ratings by the users there have given a film.. if its below 7/10 then I dont buy it.. but I think I would like to see something like that here as well.. as long as people dont post spoilers to the movie.

What do you guys think? I have a poll on this..

You could just call it "Reviews" so as to not just be a review of a movie. Could be of an Xbox game, a live concert, whatever.

That is a great idea.. making it a bit broader would increase interest and posting..

It doesnt bother me if its over there, if you or anyone else has negative comments, then so be it.. believe me, I am not a fan of every movie I have seen.. I think that is what we are looking for.. I just watched National Treasure 2 and thought it was really good.. one of my favorite movies is the latest Bond movie, Casino Royale.. I have watched it at least a half dozen times..

A feature of VB we never use is the ratings system

maybe there is a way to use the 5 start ratings system for the movies etc

well have to test it - rather than rating the thread we are rating the movie

actually polls are a great way to assess a particular topic with those on a forum. one can vote without having to post a reply, as they may not want to post a reply or already agree with what has been posted and dont feel they can add anything to the thread. its quick and easy. that is why I do them. you can just look at the voting and see where things are.

for example, if there had been a poll on things you bought for your spark plugs that didnt work, and you had been able to see it, it might have saved you the time, trouble and money involved with that piece of junk..
