What stinks is that Hillary will likely be VP, and the Dems will win the Presidency with that ticket.

We are screwed, if Obama wins we'll have the middle class paying for everything and somehow doing it with no jobs. Also scared some redneck will assasinate him and then Hillary will be running things. There will be race riots and things will go down hill from there. We need a greedy Republican in office to drill in the rain forest for more gas for our guzzlers.....

McCain should pick Condelicia Rice for his V.P.
She is not only smarter than Obama and Clinton, but also has the experience and would make a way better President if something were to happen to McCain
Since they are saying McCain is running for Bush's third term and she is tied to Bush, he might as well add her to the ticket

Its not a given that Hill will be the VP on the ticket but Obama may not have a choice.. If she isnt on it, I dont think he wins.. While most conservatives are not fond of McCain, I dont have huge objections to him. I think he has a better chance than most think. He is trying to run a positive campaign and people are drawn to that (look at Obama and his "change" message). So he may have others doing the negative part but he will look as if he is staying above that.. What McCain will do is show that Obama is not advocating change but offering old ideas that didnt work. Frankly, I prefer Hill over Obama, if there were to be the case.. The Dems are really hemmed in on this one.. Also, dont forget that the last time there was this much interest by the Dems in a candidate, it was a fellow called George McGovern and we know how that one ended.. The real issue is that if the Dems get as many seats in the House and Senate as are being projected, they will be able to override any filibuster and will be able to pass legislation at will.. and if they have a Dem president, then things are going to change but not in the way I would want them to and given the history of posts on this forum, not the way most of the folks here would want them to either.. pretty soon all we will have to chose from will be electric cars that do 40 mph... better hold on to those hot rods because the govt will be coming after them to crush them to show that they are being responsible in a "green" sort of way..

We're witnessing the unravelling of this country. We'll all be walking funny if the dems get in office.

I just finished reading Newt Gingrich's new book, "Real Change". He has some pretty profound ideas in regard to re-energizing the country. Its unfortunate that he is not a good candidate for president due to his polarization of folks.. but if you get the chance, read the book. His ideas on Social Security, education, energy policy, foreign policy, etc are just great, IMHO.. IMHO, these are the kinds of ideas and policies that need to be moved on, not more tax and spend..

#1. I vote for who does not promise to raise my taxes (sorry Barack)
#2. It seems laughable to me now,but since we have secured the country pretty darn well since 9-11-2001, the democrats are feeling safe enough again to act like national security ranks about 5 slots behind Health care, enviroment, raising taxes on small business, forcing employers to have health insurance which for some small business out of business, raise the minimum wage.
Remember the day after 9-11 everyone was scared to death, no planes flying in the skies, the safety we take for granted was shaken to the core.
I'll bet Terry was holed up with his guns all loaded :evil
I am now off my soap box:icon_mrgreen:

I think Terry is always holed up with his guns loaded. I'd sure never show up at his place unannounced! If things get crazy here, I'm hiding at his place unless I get invited into one of those mountain bunkers.

I don't understand how people are backing this fool. He is telling you right up front he's going to tax our asses 60%. What part of that don't these supports understand? I am also noticing many blacks are voting for him for him because he's black. IMO that racism at its finest! Ignorance is going to be the demise of our great country.
