Apparently this went into effect a couple months back. I think this is a great idea. They should have done it along time ago. The only question I have is will the illegals get a free pass when all other american citizens have to maintain auto insurance?

Combine that with ALPR and it could be VERY effective. I have seen these systems in Lewisville and Plano...

In a way I feel the same. On the other hand there has to be a remedy to make the unisured pay like everybody else. Our rates keep increasing because of these people. I feel it's fair to send a message that Texas means business when it come to this issue. Now if they would only enforce other laws on the books.:rolleyes:

Big brother or not, as long as "you" are legal then you would never know it was there. I like the idea.
