Can anyone advise as to correct way to remove the vinyl end-cap piece on arm rest console without damaging the piece?

EDIT:
Ok, went to my local Ford Dealer today and the Service Mgr, Parts Dept and body shop trim guy said it was all one piece and the cup holder piece does not come off. I proceded to tell them that was BS and it had to be removable.
The Service Mgr suggested I go over to a small local trim shop they use for all of their service work and WALA, the tech there knew exactly how to remove it!

It has (6) plastic tabs that can be release by sliding a buttter knife or flat blade object under the lip and push back on the (4) front tabs and push forward on the (2) back tabs and off it comes.

Steve,
I am not replacing the piece. This is my original piece, Just wanted to be able to remove it for some upcoming custom interior work.
The Ford Dealership Parts Dept said it does not show as a seperate piece. The armrest comes in two pieces, the bottom comparment, which includes the cupholder and the hindged lid. Although, you might verify that at your local dealer or try a junkyard for a replacement piece.

Anyone knowhere you can purchase this piece in carbon fiber?
I sent mine off to one of the vendors that does the Hydrographics/film process and they said the piece could not be done because it was not a hard solid plastic material...(it has a cushion feel)
