About 2 weeks ago I bought a 2007 Vette Z51 suspension, the 3lt option group, nav, HUD etc
Some of you may not have seen the picture I posted previously

I was told it was stock except the exhaust but dealer tells me it has a MAF and a tune on it as well - I added a ram air filter last week
Looking forward to taking it to a 1/4 mile track soon - maybe this weekend

I never planned to mod the lexus - I knew when i bought it that I would get another "muscle car"
Now I feel guilty since the Lexus doesn't get driven much ...
Not sure is the corvette is cheap to mod - on a HP per $$ basis the lightning is tough to beat for mods. The vette runs in $500 increments and that typically gets you less than 10 hp per increment - after the first couple mods its significantly less per $500.
Sure is fun to drive though - corners great - pulls like a fright train on the highway and driving like a complete a$$ I get better mileage in town than drivng the truck normally the truck and on the highway it easily gets 26+

Stick one leg in and fall
and then climb out
Its not bad - some muscles that hadnt been used in a while are getting used to the work.
The memory seats help - since there is an "exit mode" that you can set - it will for example move the seat all the way back, retract the steering wheel and raise the seat up when you pop the door, to give you some help getting out
The one thing I really want to see about changing is the heat in the car - the drivetrain radiates heat into the black interior - Im considering striping the interior and adding a layer of insulation. Im also looking to get a painted top for the summer - the "clear" top is one more source of heat

Hey and you are thin.. us fat boys would have it really hard.. the Caddy has the exit feature as well and it is a nice option to use.. does yours automatically work when you open the door?
I have heard that some do the foil backed Dynomat because of the heat gain.. any thought to just having limo tint put on the top?

Im 235 thats not considered thin in most places
Yes the exit is automatic
There is a company that makes precut foil (http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=1434671&highlight=heat+interior) that is much lighter than dynamat and easier to put in
the top is about 16 compound curves and is plastic - getting a bad tint job off would be impossible - I have ordered a static cling cover that should block some - if that doesnt work - Ill bust out the $$ for this (http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=1968357&highlight=heat+interior)
I also have a friend that owns an ebay store looking for a used painted top

235 but well over 6 feet tall too.. so you are skinny by todays standards,, (take a compliment will ya)
both products look pretty cool (pun intended).. the foil will help with the heat, but does it do much for sound intrusion? although at less than 6 pounds it wont put a hurt on performance.. I like the overhead panels, except I would be concerned about the suction cups failing.. but then again, they wont all fail at the same time..

you just need to go "practice" a little before hand.
evan if you have slow shifts I bet you will cut a time you will be happy with, and then you can have fun improving on it!
