Recently we implemented a verification system called recaptcha on TALON and many of the other sites I manage to keep spammers from signing up with robots
This article shows that Carnegie Mellon usniversity is using the recaptcha info to help digitize old newspapers and stuff - really cool use of a few seconds of lots of peoples time :tu::tu:
