i know ihavent spoken on here much, mostly because right now i drive a chevy and am envious of all you for owning and driving lightnings, but its finally going to happen. This saturday i am heading to down to the houston area to trade in my truck towards a 99 black lightning. This is a dream come true for real and i cannot wait to get down there and see this beast.

Anyways, some facts about it:
99 SVT with 96,100 mi
its dropped
intake and exhaust
port and polished S/C
lower pulley
pollished plenum
new alarm and plugs
its has a fresh alternator, battery, o2 sensors, and remote start.

best run 13.2 on street tires spinning off the line. Anyways, it was his daily driver. and now making way for a child.

Anyways im excited to join the family! Ill participate more i promise.

I know how you’re feeling all to well.
I flew down to Houston just a couple months back to buy my 2000 L. Drove it back to Dallas in a little over 3 hours:D .
And like you said, "DREAM COME TRUE".

yeah its like youve wantedthis for so long and finally its within reach so then its all you can think about and ive honestly never driven a lightning, ever! so this will be even mroe special there. ive only ever been in the passenger seat. but you would think ive owned 5 before lol. a friend of mine's dad is Mr. Capps of Capps rental and a couple ford dealerships, plus the owner of Capps racing, so yeah they have some money, well while his 700hp street driven cobra was down, his dad let him borrow an 04 silver L they were trying to sell and i rode in that thing and just had to have one. Something about a screaming supercharger... haha. So yeah ive got my background with this trucks and i know alot about them but im ready to learn more and finally drive one. Thanks for the support! ill get her cleaned up and pics as soon as possible!

Ouch.....that thing needs a whole lotta tender loving care once you pick it up. Do it right once you get it and wash it several times and get some wax on that poor thing. :icon_eek:
