There is a website you can put up a job to be bid on by shippers. I'd say 600-1000.

I would take this opportunity to seriously consider taking the money and getting a different vehicle. Insurance should pay well and with the market and fuel woes this may be your best chance to get a more efficient or vehicle with a warranty. If you still want a truck they are giving away new ones..think about it...

fly SWA to Houston and drive back 4 hours tops
For those currently selling Gen 2 lightnings it is a buyers market.
I would be surprised to see them bring over 20K regardless the condition.... A built motor lightning with Documentation might bring $$ to the right buyer:cool:

I disagree. Quality built trucks, such as your old truck brought good money to you as well as the seller I bought it from. I think I paid close to top dollar for it. The only reason I did is because it had a new JDM short block in it. I lost faith in JLP's short blocks. I've seen too many failures. You know as well as I do that this truck has the best of everything and you would be hard pressed to find a 10 second Lightning for 20K. I haven't met that goal yet, but trust me it's coming soon.
BTW, can anybody going to L. fest pick up a full set of bogarts for me?

My post said a correct truck with documentation might bring $$ to the right buyer.
You are correct the ride you are rolling is truly a beast and has everything but Brembo's to my knowledge. I still think that a near $30k tag would be hard to pull on even that truck
A stock block truck with bolt on parts is subject to a lower price tag than even a few months ago. Anything over $20K would be a blessing
My Gen 1 will run low 11's all day on motor and still probably would not bring $12,500 and only has 20k on the odometer.
Just a sign of the times:twitch:

Agreed. It would be a shame if your truck only brought 12.5K. I'm sure it would bring more. It would just take the right buyer just like anything else.

I don't think an on-line value list should determine the value of ones vehicle. I would keep the vehicle before I sell it for what they think it's worth. As I've mentioned, it will require a certain buyer.

The market is poor, you have to find the right buyer. I have been looking at eBay and other sources on the F250 market. There are at least 500 on eBay right now. One example is an 05 Harley Davidson crew cab 4wd loaded, 30K miles. Sticker was $54K, zero bids at 18K..... That is a very nice truck like several others way below market.

June, 27, 2008 Asking Price Condition $27,000.00 Excellent http://www.nloc.net/classifieds/data//6/DSC_26021.jpg
Description: Seems as though its just not the right time in my life to justify keeping the truck. Being a full time student plus trying to work my *** off to keep up with the note just isnt smart :shrug:I'm selling it to get a gas saver, I want to keep it but I need to be smart about this.... So sadly shes officially publicly up for sale. The truck currently sits at 68,XXX miles, roughly around 3000 miles on the new shortblock, fresh heads, all new valvetrain etc etc. The trans(built by BTS, anyone in the lightning world or 4R100 knows there pretty much the best of the best) has just a hair over 6k miles. One of the best decisions I made was with who built the transmission!
All work and tuning was done by PSI motorsports which anyone can vouch for there top notch work. The motor has pretty much been broken in, got a few runs with it but thats it. I'm currently driving around on a valet tune.
I know I'll forget something but I'll give it my best for now, I'll add what I forget tomorrow.
Starting with the bad! The front bumper and left rear skirt infront of the driver side tire was hung up unloading off a flatbed, the wrecker company(joe meyers ford) is replacing the bumper and skirt. You can hardly see the damage in pictures. I'm simply waiting on them to get the time, as its my daily and cant afford downtime right now. Other then that theres merely rock chips on the hood, not terrible but I'm a perfectionist about it. I will happily go 50/50 with the buyer to have the hood and front grill surround repainted topside and bottom side I've already gotten quotes from both richey collision and chaotic customs. Interior has 1 MINOR smallllll chip in the dash infront of the passenger. Seats etc are spotless! Thats it. Anything externally on the paint etc I'll happily throw into the mix to have fixed if its worth it.
The good would be the rest... http://www.nloc.net/vbforum/images/smilies/smile.gif.
-Shortblock(JDM) has 3k miles/ Whipple has 3500 warrantied from whipple/Heads and cams recieved fresh valvetrain retainers etc etc when the new higher comp shortblock went in.
-This was originally Fuzzie's setup that went 9.89@134. (8:5:1 comp) Same heads and cams are still in it but has a brand new higher comp (as listed below) shortblock. Truck is making more power then ever and is night and day with the old block and now.....
Performance:
Motor: Motor is a JDM longblock.
-Jdm forged longblock 9:3:1 compression
-Jdm stage 3 heads
-Jdm stage 3 cams(custom grinds)
-60# injectors
-Dual walbro 255# fuel pumps
-Whipple S/C (racer kit)
-Ported/matched lower intake
-Accufab "Lightning" SBTB
-Ba 2600 Maf
-SCT xcal2 tuner. Loaded with valet/street/104 street tune. PSI tuned of course.
-Rear end has been gone through fresh gears etc etc etc.
Exhaust:
-Custom longtube headers
-catless mids
-Bassani SS catback
Suspension:
-4/6 drop,.
-Eibach springs, nitrogen adjustable shocks f&r
-Lakewood slapper bars, daily driven and longbars can be a hassle with the lowered truck.
-18'' 01/02 chrome wheels. (not perfect, bought the truck years back with them and the original owner had curbed them not bad though at all)
-Hankook ventus 295/45/18's F&R. Fronts are brand new, rears have 5k miles.
-Also have 2 nitto DR's with some tread left.
Trans:
Fully built by BTS will handle just about anything you can throw at it power wise, 2400 stall. I made the trip to arkansas just to have the work done, well well worth it.
-Superduty Trans cooler(BTS)
Interior:
-Stock, very very VERY clean. Non smoker owner(s).
-Stock 6 disk works flawlessly, no blown speakers etc.
-AEM wideband gauge on a steering column pod.
-Light switch has been modified for fogs with parking lamps as seen in pics.
Exterior:
-Snugtop hard bedcover(low profile)
-Have the antenna cut down so its not a bullwhip.
Alarm:
-Aftermarket Auto Page unit.
-LCD remote 1mile range, warning page unit, remote start with 2 aux.
-Also have spare remote to go along, and factory alarm remotes.
-Warrantied.
-Has all the shock sensors you can imagine, settings are adjusted so stupid things(stereos) dont set it off.
All in all the truck is beatiful, and flat out hauls ***. I have made a few 1/8 passes(old shortblock) with it and on the nitto DR's in 80* temp's went 7.19@100mph/7.18@99mph/7.19@98mph on the old low compression shortblock and heads with the 110 street tune, oh..... and weighed in at 4952lb's. With the minor suspension mods this truck sticks and pulls damn hard, now its making even more power and is entirely different with the higher compression.
The truck was tuned after the break in mileage was put on it, PM me for dyno #'s if you would like....600 rwhp/600 rwtq street tune easily put. The truck is currently going to pretty much sit as much as possible, I'll be out at the meets to show it no track visits will be made. The truck will be sold fresh from the detailer(swirls removed etc etc)
For now thats all I can think of.... $27k o.b.o. by o.b.o. meaning throw me an offer!!!!!!!!!!!!I want it going to a good owner, someone who will continue and finish what I've started.... I bought this as a bassani catback only truck when I was 17. I feel I've done pretty damn good the past 2.5/3 years being as its all out of my pocket and want to see her all finished.... minor suspension and a cage is all thats left.
I have some pictures from this past weekend of truck with the bedcover off of it(detailing the cover) here they are: I'll have some shots of it with the cover on this weekend!
Please no tire kickers or rude reply's... have seen that all too often from other for sale threads:read:
