All you need is a pair of pruning shears and a soldering iron.

Terry, this guy did Russ Martin's on the air.. he has done over 10,000 of them (I believe).. they are done in the office and it takes about 5 minutes. I speak from experience.

You could charge admission and make a little scratch for yourself.:d

Terry, There is a good doc over by Denton Presby. Dr David Casey. Nice guy, good doc. We send the majority of our urology patients to him. He maybe out of the way for you though. Let me know if you need his #.

Just trying to help a buddy find a good doctor. I use Jedi powers to control my troops http://www.dinicartoons.com/forum/images/smilies/Star_Wars/jedi3.gif
I also read online there are medical findings saying the sperm which is dumped into your bloodstream after the snip has caused dementia in some patients...:icon_eek:.

A few of my friends @ work have had it done in the last year.. no weight gain that I've seen... I know one of them lost a lot, but he did do a diet.

Personally, I'm thinking of it. I think that my wife & I have had all we can afford. There are a lot of other options, but really this one seems the best. My son was conceived while using another form of birth control, so I've lost faith in that one. Most of the pills/implants ect increase the risk of stroke & heart issues... not a big deal to some, but my wife is already on some meds for arthritis & doesn't really need to add more. Vasectomy is a quick process... just about 5 mins & a weekend of light duty to recover. I've been told by many that it just feels like a sore or slightly pulled muscle. It'll be a good excuse to get some X-Tra TLC from my wife & a week later it's party time W/ no more consequences.

I think they tell you to wait about two months before trusting it... You are right the hormone pills etc for women take their tolls and carry significant risks. It is time for us to do our part in this effort to be responsible and considerate partners:tu:

Well, you have to wait at least a month before its skin to skin again... but they have you bring in a sample to look under the microscope to see if there are any swimmers.. before you get the thumbs up to.... well, you know..

also, no weight gain associated with the procedure.

The Doc I used is well known in Dallas. His office is in Lewisville across from the Hospital of Main Street. He does 2500-3000 a year. It only took 3 minutes. Was back in the sattle in 4 days. I need to find his card. PM/Email if interested. I would use him again if there was such a thing.
