I recently sold my 20lb bottle. I was having problems maintaining consistent pressure, even with a heater after one run. Just too much bottle volume. I just picked up a couple of these 10lb bottles (http://static.summitracing.com/global/images/prod/large/nos-14745shfgnos_w.jpg) and now I need to find a mounting bracket(s) for them.

My main goal is to be able to remove them without any tools, for them to look good, and not scratch the bottle every time its inserted/removed so I guess making brackets with a table/band saw is out of the question:rolleyes:

Here are the ones I found so far. Anyone using any of these brackets? Anyone seen any other types out there?

These guys are pretty easy to work with and right down the street from me(Waco area). Looks like the same as your first link, albeit a little higher. Give them a call and see what they recomend

I have the Racecraft from ebay thats in your link. It is a very nice piece for a really good price. It has rubber inserts so it wont scratch your bottle.

Thats odd, I've always heard the exact opposite. The smaller the bottle the more variance there will be.

I should clarify my statement...I wasn't having problems with consistent pressure as I was with just trying to regain pressure with a heater (no torches please:icon_twisted:). It's easier to create more pressure in a smaller chamber. With the 20lb bottle, after a couple of runs...the bottle was useless because it would take so long to get the bottle pressure back to an optimal PSI. Bigger isn't always better in this case.
Here's a good article on bottle heating & temps

Thanks for the review Alpine:tu: I just might end up getting one of those dual setups off of ebay. 860's are nice, but kinda high due to their built in heater and I already have an extra heater

I have the auto heated nitrous outlet one on my truck, it's a pretty nice piece.

Torch it!
From my experiences you must have a good blanket. It seems most heaters are more for maintaining pressure than building it. 20's are hard to warm up. The problem is a heater draws 20 plus amps and takes 15-25 minutes to warm a cold bottle. That will run a battery dead if the vehicle is not running. bottles in the bed can get real cold. I have let them ride in the floor to keep warm. I prefer the torch myself. Or let Alpine's drunk ass hug the bottle while you race.:D

I hear ya:throw:
I opted for the ebay billet because I already had one heater and I still need to buy two blankets + another heater (+not to mention the talon review;)). I thought about having to heat the entire bottle as to just the bottom since I typically race more in the winter at night. I have another red top battery, but haven't had a chance to figure out how I'm going to connect the two so that it'll only use one to start, but still charge. in the summer, the fans kill the battery...in the winter, its the heater...lol
