Hey fellas,

I thought I'd chime in. It appears there will be quite a few of us Houston boys attending FFW Ennis in October. I'm looking forward to meeting as many Talon members as possible. I'll post up a current pic of my truck so it will be easy for you to identify my truck.

We currently have a local fella looking into accommodations. Please feel free to chime in if you have any recommendations on a good safe place to rent rooms.

On a side note, does anybody know how strict they will be in regards of the 11.50 limitations for roll cage requirements?

Peace/out.

Ron.

Hey Ron. Glad to see your going.

As far as the 11.5 and the roll cage????????????? If I find a KB or Whipple I can afford between now and then...... I'll let you know.

I was curios if they're lenient during the FFW event. I'm sure they'll nail you on any other occasion.

I think it will depend on what your going to be running in. If your in TT it will depend on if you piss off Jim (JDM) or not. And if you beat him, you will piss him off.:evil

typically you cant dial in faster than your car is legal for

YOu may be able to get away with it in test - and qualification

But if you were not legal and you beat someone in round one - all they have to do is bring it up and you are out

I'm confident my truck will go faster then 11.50's. Maybe I should play it safe and dial in @ 11.60

They have been watching times pretty closely. You may get one test and tune break but usually only one warning.

We can always count on you for wise cracks. I will eventually go another route. I haven't quite figured it out yet. I'm open for suggestions though...

Truck does look good. However, I am surprised there are no Saleen decals on it.

Well Ike pissed on my parade. The storm has set me back quite a bit. I'm probably going to end up selling the Bogarts to pay for the debt I've accumulated. I hope you fellas have a good time.

Maybe we could set up something after FFW? We (Talon/Halo) could all go to K-Dale Sunday night and play. http://texasraceway.com/main.asp?page=events/streetwars/index

I don't know how many trucks we have ready, but if we could get at least 5-6 Talon trucks race ready, it could be an upset.:d

I'm down.

Charlie what time are you heading out to the track. I am felling it's time to make a few runs. Also what does it cost to get in and run, I think last time I was out there it was around $15-20 to race. I may swap out my pulleys and put some race gas in the Tank:icon_mrgreen:.

I'll be there about 6pm.

And it's just test and tune. No races.

It shows Fun and Grudge on the Calender. But I really like you just wanna make a few runs to see how it does with the race tune I have. I may be there just shortly after you are. I will look for you in the Pit area when I get there.

What size wheels and tires are on your truck. Also, the brand. I have been looking for some wheels but I cant find any that I like. The ones I do like, either are not the right bolt pattern or not wide enough. I love the setup you have.

Those rims are Centerline Matrix 5's and are 18X9.5, the same as mine. But mine are his old set with a 5.75 back spacing vs. what what everyone else has is 5.5 back spacing. The run close to $400/wheel. They are a bitch to keep clean, but they do look damn good on our trucks.

I think that is an excellent idea. I would be nice if we could get enough trucks to participate. The last I heard quite a few PSI boys are going to FFW Ennis. I'm thinking at least 3 turbo trucks should be there.
