There's a documentary on the History Channel tonight, called 102 minutes. It's a bunch of unedited video. Who knows if it has political bias (yuck!) or not. But it may be worth checking out.
I won't forget it, either, and it sickens me to think about when (not if) the next attack will occur. It's only a matter of time. Most of Americans HAVE forgotten, at least when it comes to using common sense in supporting/funding national security "projects" (the war included).
We have it easy, and "forget" that it is literally us vs. the world.

I will never forget the day this happened, and where I was when I saw it on the news. It still boils my blood to look at that pic and think of what happened :(:flaming:

Same here.
I was making a presentation, we switched the projector from my presentation to CNN and watched the second plane fly in.
We thought it was a replay at first, but it was live. We all sat in that conf room for hours watching CNN and almost no one said a word.
We were all in shock.

I thought it was a radio hoax like War of the Worlds back in the old days that caused wide spread panic. I was in my service van headed to Frisco. I turned back around gassed up, went to the grocery store and prepared to lock down. I was simply in awe that we got caught with our pants down so badly....
The problem is the Patriot Act and other depts that arose from this are bunk. Americans have willingly given away their freedoms for security. I think Franklin said if you do that you have neither... It is sad the economy is still no better and US streets no safer...

I went to ground zero in November 2001 and it hit me so much more than I imagined. It was so much more powerful in person. There were shattered buildings all around and the site was still smoking 2 months later, with the smell of burnt plastic and dust in the air. It was hard to keep composed when I saw the makeshift shrine with all of the pictures of missing family members and flowers left for the dead. When you see individual pictures and realize that each one is tied to a real family like yours and mine who are suffering the worst grief imaginable (not a sad car crash or illness/age related death, this was murder, hate and pure evil against us). The day after I flew home was the day that other plane crashed into a Queens neighborhood by LaGuardia. I flew to LA the next day and the pilot on AA personally came out and assured us that he personally checked the plane and thanked us for sticking with them, as it was their livelyhood and their passion to fly. Very touching speech and made us all feel a little better, since the cause of the NY crash was still unknown at the time.
We need to make a press release that if it happens again, we will nuke whatever country they hide in just to make sure we get them. If we can't figure out what country they are in, we'll nuke em all just for good measure. See how fast they find themselves without a hiding place....
Peace to the 9/11 victims, their families, friends and loved ones.

I agree... Bush said he would personally go after _any_ country that harbors terrorists. Well, Iraq has taken a lot longer than anyone thought. While I fully supported the war when it began, it would be nice to get to "country #2" before we end up with some wimpy president.
Everyone cannot stand us anyway... even our "allies" are so completely jealous of our prosperity (even in the current economy, we are SO well off compared to anyone else), they'd stab us in the back if it meant they would better themselves. So since everyone hates us, its time to pull out the big stick.
<--count me as one who strongly supports the use of nuclear/atomic weapons... to end a war, or to make a statement in order to prevent another war.
Instead, my prediction is that the first nuke to go off will be on our soil, brought in by a foreign terrorist and detonated in a large US city. And we'll respond with something completely lame, all for the sake of diplomacy.
I'm still waiting for the "free oil" Iraq should be required to provide us for the next 50 years.

I remember the morning well.
Thoughts and prayers with the families of those lost that day and our armed service's folks here and abroad.
Saw a protest in Denton tonight on the square. Mostly Hippy types from UNT.
Thought it was great to see the freedom in action.:D
Most of those Kids were in grade school when this went down........

There are no moderate muslims. Only those who hide their hatred of us. We had three at work that day they were scared shitless and swearing that they did not support those actions...
