That intake is hidious!! One of the worst GM has ever made (looks and flowing). He needs to swap it!!

I had heard the intakes really aren't that bad flow wise. It can afford to be ugly when it typically has a beauty cover over it. An LS1 intake would probably look better though without the cover.
Anyone know where I can find a cheap LQ4/4L80e and harness? :evil

Just re-read your post... I'm with ya now. Thought you were saying the LS1 intake had a cover on it!! And yes it would look better w/ a LS1 intake (or ANY other LSx style intake) on it... I've seen a pre-97 chevy truck (I think it's 97, the squarer body style before they made everything w/ curves) w/ a LS1 motor in it. Looked sweet under the hood!! Never a big fan of the ugly intake w/ the vortec cover. Intakes should be pretty!!
