After my drunken bumper adjuster did his work. I ordered a Buckstop rear replacement bumper. The gray PC finish was not close enough for my liking so it is getting painted. Then I am getting the top of it LineX'd for a stepping surface. It has two 4" holes for backup lamps. Since I can't give my truck away I might as well make it a little tougher. Insurance should cover 90% of the cost to upgrade.

I liked these because they look like a regular bumper.

Looks sharp... only thing I'd change would be a built in eye for a shackle on either side for recovery!!

After seeing a Cobalt shove my bumper over three inches I would not use the bumper to jerk anything:icon_eek:. I'll use the V rated receiver hitch for an attachment point. I know what you mean though. My front bumper will be the Warn bumper

I had a custom rear bumper on my last truck.... it was bolted (12 bolts) and welded on. I used it MANY times for pulling and never had a problem with it. That front bumper is SUPERBADASS!! One of the best looking and prob best performing too!!

The Ranch Hand, Road Armor, and Buckstop rear replacements for the Ford bolt to the truck using the stock bumper brackets.. They are semi cheesy stamped steel pieces. I'll post a pic of the new ones I bought to replace the bent ones.. I guess something has to bend or the frame does... Warn includes supports for their front bumpers that bypass and reinforce the crumple zone:evil.
Here is the stock bumper bracket.

Gosh damn, the dealer stuck me for 220 to paint the damn bumper. Then the North TX LineX guy wanted 250 to spray a step pad:icon_eek:. I be damned!:throw:

Got pics before the sun went down. I decided to put the step plates on until I get it LineX'd. They sent polished aluminum step plates, can't have that. So I took the Mexican paintbrush to them and made them flat black. It will get me by for a while.

Thanks, It is so pretty I don't want it hit just yet:twitch:. I'll keep the fist of justice in there just in case:evil
Brian, the foamy is my attempt at being politically correct these days... I want to keep my hitch in all the time and between the apt complex and my work parking lot. It makes it more acceptable if it is well marked.

The new lights worked well tonight. A buddy bought a new house with a tight, wooded twisty driveway:rolleyes:. I still got some limb scratches since it is not trimmed for trucks. The big lights helped back out of that situation..
