Tony Romo out 4 weeks
Matt McBriar possibly out for the season
Terrance Newman out indefinitely
Felix Jones out 2-4 weeks
Sam Hurd out for the season
Roy Williams still out for another 2+ weeks
Patrick Watkins... is he still out?
Pacman Jones ... Just suspended for 4 weeks
Is there anyone healthy who can play? That's 4 DBs out.

So much for Camp Cup cake to avoid injuries, nobody hurt, but did we get in great condition for a 16 game season and playoffs? When Jimmy Johnson was here we hit in camp and ran when we screwed up, and by gosh cut players when they played poorly! I sure miss him (LOL)

I agree... R. Williams is good. But they gave up a lot (3 picks) to get him. Maybe he can play both ways? ;)

Yea they did pay a high price but the cowboys don't exactly have a good record for spending their 1st round picks. See Anthony Spencer and Barbie Carpenter. IF the Cowboys needed a WR then this is a good deal because even if they spent that 1 next year on a WR he would still be a few years away from contributing. WR's don't usually begin to develop untill the 2nd or 3rd year and Roy can play now.

I think it MIGHT have been a move that was worth it....only time will tell though. For some reason, I think we need to work on that damn offensive line. They are killin us right now. :hammer:

With Brad Johnson coming in as the starter I think this move is pretty good, Patrick Crayton is good........ but has been dropping balls left and right
T.O. is double teamed every down, I don't care how big strong and fast you are, with double team coverage you wont get open.
With Roy Williams the defense will have to start playing one on one coverage and stop double teaming TO which will leave Witten open more, and free up TO to get down the field
The Cowboys just seem too predictable I guess, other teams just seem to know how to defend them which cuts off the run and passing game, now that the defense will have to be spread out the Cowboys might be able to get something started

The fact is that now they have no excuses. They have a good O-line (played poorly this past week, but they're very solid), an excellent running back, three of the best receivers in all of football (incl. Witten).
They should score 35 with Steve DeBerg back there behind center.
If they can't win with this offense, the coaches should be fired.

No question about the offense, but the defense is beaten up pretty good

I agree. However, the ineptness of the offense in the two losses this year is the primary reason for those losses, IMHO. A good offense has 21 pts at half vs. the Cards. They had 7 possessions in the 1st half.

Hmm wonder why Fitzgerald kept getting open and Santana Moss. Seems like the other teams D can figure out how to take Owens out of the game but we just can't figure out how to take the other teams WR out of the game. Moss killed us and then had 2 catches against St Louis. Go figure. Anthony Henry is a bum.

Predictable is ok... My coach in highschool went on a local station stating "We know what what play we are running, they (as in the other team) know what play we are running, but the key is... they can't do anything to stop it". That statement held true for about 5 weeks. When they figured out how to stop our play we ran it to the OTHER side!! Those were the good ole days....
The above doesn't apply to the cowboys, but I just read the famous quotes thread and this thread and the above was the by-product. Hopefully no one will bitch about wanting their minute back that I wasted from them!! :tu:
