Wasn't able to make opening weekend of deer season last year, so I was determined to make up for it this year. Had a very nice weekend in deer camp, good food, good company, a few libations, and lies told over the campfire. Didn't see a buck I wanted to shoot, but saw 24 deer, so at least I was entertained while in the blind.
Bad news is we've had two burglaries at the campsite in the past month. Bad guys came through and pried all the trailer doors 5 weeks ago. Stole a shotgun, a TV, and some hunting clothing. Although they broke into my trailer, I didn't have anything of value in it, so nothing taken. Same bad guys returned earlier this week for round two. Then this morning someone shot a buck, sawed his head off, and left the rest of the carcass in the bar ditch. Can't escape the crime even in the country. Asshats. :hammer:
