I have the Kooks L.T's.Well where they connect to the Mag. cats(yes i am an environmentilist or lets say @ the 3 bolt flange):rll:,the bolts vibrate out and blow the gaskets.I tried lock washers, double nuts and they still fall out.I have resorted to castlated nuts and cotter pins/copper 3 bolt gaskets from Orileys for 20+ bucks to resolve the on going problem.Just drill your bolts and install S.S. cotter pins/caselated nuts.I am truly amazed @ the fact they still came loose with lock washers and double nuts:bows.I think i solved the problem with caslated nuts cotter pins.Just a heads up to check your exhaust.BTW have found no leaks @ the manifold:tu:.

have you ever see the stage 8 locking header bolts? well they make the same thing for the collectors too, iv used them before on my TransAm after countless times of tightning up the junk bolts that came with the headers and also the collectors. here is a link just some usefull stuff.

my ole man is kinda old school and has a 67 camaro that he is building right now. i bought him a set of dougs long tube headers and he was kinda weary about having headers on b/c of the bolts backing out and what not, until i gave him a set of stage 8 bolts and he thinks they are the shit.

guess im lucky right now b/c the bolts that the previous owner used to install the headers are doing a great job but someday they will fail... its cool i have a set of stage 8s already waiting for the occasion.
