Nothing, I have researched everything as well and decided that plan old concrete is still the best.
The only thing left in my consideration is a concrete stain.

stain, sealer or epoxy is good...
I also like RaceDeck since it can be customized.. freeflow or solid.. many many options and choices.. plus if you move it can go with you...

An epoxy with a touch of texture for grip would be nice. Light gray brightens up the garage well.

Just got a quote from racedeck... $1600.00 for my 21 X 21 garage... OUCH!!! I'd rather spend that money on a 393 stroker kit, or a good set of heads.

This is RaceDeck with the drain through tiles mixed in. It is okay for parking but makes the garage very difficult to work in. You have to use wood or tiles under your jack stands. Also you have to ease out and back in with plenty of momentum or you peel out and have to reposition the flooring again...

I have heard about the jackstands, but mine have pads welded on to the bottom of each leg, so its not a problem, but I have never heard of the other issue posted or stated before..
The upside is that its portable so you can move it with you, which you cant do with epoxy paint.

I would think this is one of those easier DIY projects.. I wouldnt pay extra for them to do it.. but if you arent comfortable with it.. I would pay the extra to make sure it got done right..

I'm going to let them do it because the concrete needs to be prepped, and the lift needs to be un-installed, and cabinets moved, etc. I honestly don't have the time to spend doing it, or feel comfortable doing it. I would rather it be done right the first time then have to redo some if not all if I screwed up, plus the know how many flakes to mix, etc.
Thinking of having them put extra rough substance in the mix (not sure if its flakes or what), I took an Anatomy night class at Northlake and the floor they had was pretty rough, even if there was a pretty big puddle on the ground you wouldn't slip

You are talking about epoxy and not RaceDeck.. sorry.. I thought you were going to do RaceDeck.. I would definitely have a pro do the epoxy.. if it isnt prepped just right and all, the paint will fail and you have a peeling mess to deal with.

there's the DIY route with UCOAT IT and Musclegloss but I remember getting a quote from some outfit in Dallas that sandblasted the surface prior to the epoxy application- can't find the contact anymore.
