i watched that episode and i wasnt impressed with it, or the ss for that matter. I think the ss wouldve been faster if they did a small block swap, and then add the heads and cam. For the L, well they shoulda bought a 2nd gen. :)

A gen 2 wasn't really the point of the show. It was to have appox the same year models and technology. They could have done a better job with both of them...

true but then it was their show and their ideas that they wanted to implement.. funny part was that they lowered the L and it handled worse than stock..

I think that where they screwed up W/ the Lightning suspension is the stock F-150 springs on the front. They are way too soft... transferred too much weight to the front; unloaded the rear & bam, it handled like a pig. Made me want to reach through the tV & fix it myself.
